Kristian van Eijkelenburg studied Urban Planning at the Hogeschool Utrecht, specialising in urban planning, followed by a bachelor’s in Social Geography and a master’s in Real Estate Studies at the University of Groningen.
He started his career in early 2008, at ING Real Estate Development as a junior project developer and account manager letting offices. In 2009, Kristian made the switch to BMC, a management and consultancy firm, where he focused on healthcare real estate and area development.
With this broad background, Kristian started to focus on commercial real estate advice in mid-2010, and started working for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). He worked there for 2.5 years as a real estate consultant in The Hague region with a focus on leasing, rental and sales of commercial real estate and redevelopment projects. In 2013, he switched internally to the Corporate Tenant Representation Team. In this position he advised occupiers of real estate on leasing, renegotiation, sale & lease back transactions and redevelopment assignments. As Senior Advisor and Associate Director, Kristian has been responsible within this team for the regions of The Hague (3.5 years) and then Central, North and East Netherlands (2 years).
Kristian set up JLL’s healthcare real estate division on his own initiative in 2018 and was ultimately responsible for this discipline. The focus was primarily on leasing, selling, purchasing and redevelopment assignments for healthcare institutions.
In mid-2019 and with more than 11 years of experience in commercial real estate, Kristian founded Marble Real Estate together with Joost Sweep.
